The construction materials industry has also been using color meters for a long time to manage colors of exterior materials for the roof and walls, interior materials for the floor, ceiling and wall paper, and fixtures such as aluminum sashes and partitions.
Since construction materials tend to be large, handheld type chroma meters such as the CR-400 Series are useful. The CR-410, in particular, is widely used for measuring targets such as panels with exposed aggregate or floor materials/tiles with patterned surfaces, due to its large measurement area (Φ50 mm).
Also in the aluminum sash manufacturing, the CR Series has been integrated into the workflow of the coloring process, playing a vital role.
In the architectural design field, the T-10 Illuminance Meter and CL-200 Chroma Meter are commonly used to measure the illuminance distribution of buildings or to design illumination. The CS-100A, a non-contact chroma meter, plays an active role in the process of designing harmonious colors with the environment and exterior colors of buildings.
Non-contact 3D digitizers are widely used for the design process of outer walls, such as incorporating the appearance of rocks and other natural objects into outer wall design. They are also useful for designing roof tiles, construction materials and building stones.
